Friends of Pooly Inc is running a 30 day Pixel Art Bounty campaign.
The campaign is focused on creating new game assets for the Pixel Pooly NFT project.

Pixel Pooly is a first of its kind NFT where users can handcraft a digital collectable using a completely on-chain SVG rendering engine. The digital collectable is made up of 12 unique layers (background, body, accessories, etc…) and each layer can have an infinite number of potential frames. Simply put FoP has built the foundation for a Web3 native MMORPG platform and are now inviting artists to help us answer the question “What’s possible?”

Activity: Create pixel art for the Pixel Pooly and Pals

Art can be created by human and/or artificial intelligence. The only requirement is the final project files need to be in a SVG format. If you want to use AI we recommend using Stable Diffusion trained on gaming assets and alternatives like Midjourney.

How Pixel Pooly Works

Pixel Pooly uses the ERC721K framework which enables dynamic rendering of NFTs using an SVG library and Asset/Module/DataStream registries. Similar to the UniswapV3 and PrtyDAO dynamic NFTs, but with accessibility and composability focused features/capabilities.

Pixel Pooly has 12 layers:

Each layer is assigned frames:

Head (Layer)

Pirate (Frame)
OP Eyes (Frame)
Tornado Glasses (Frame)

Every layer frame has unique statistics:

Head (Layer)

- b. OP Eyes (Frame)
  i. Charisma + 3 (Stats)
  ii. Defense + 5 (Stats)
- c. Tornado Glasses (Frame)
  i. Strength + 10 (Stats)

Every layer frame can be assigned to rarity tier:

Head
a. Pirate: Common
b. OP Eyes: Uncommon
c. Tornado Glasses: Legendary

The Pixel Pooly digital collectible is a 1000 x 1000 pixel grid.

Pixel Layers/Frames

Pixel Pooly is divided into 12 layers (potentially more) and each layer can be assigned an infinite number of frames. For example the background layer currently contains the frames Beach, Water, Sand, Night and Space. But even more frames can be added to “Background” layer.

Pixel Tiers/Pricing

Each layer frame (i.e. Background:Beach) is assigned a tier. The tiers are a measure of rarity and what price the item can be purchased for. For example if an item is in the Common tier, then it can be added to a Pixel Pooly for free. But if an item is in the Legendary tier, then it will cost 0.5 ETH to purchase.

The Pixel Pooly Beta currently has 4 tiers, but that will change before a production launch.

Friends of Pooly are adding new tiers to Pixel Pooly, so we can provide more dynamic pricing.

Pixel Store & FoP DAO

Pixel Stores are given authority to enable layers/frames in Pixel Pooly digital collectible. In other words independently owned and operated Pixel Stores can sell traits (if approved by FoP DAO) that can be added to the Pixel Pooly digital collectible.

Pixel Stores can receive a % of sales or route 100% of the proceeds to DeFiDefender initiatives.

For example Friends of Pooly Inc will own and operate the first Pixel Store.

A large percentage of the sales (80%) in Season 1 will go towards Lobby3 and funding DeFi/Web3 Lobbyists in Washington DC. And the remaining 20% will be split between the FoP Artists and Developers of the Pixel Pooly Public Goods protocol.

Public Goods as a MMORPG

At the heart of Pixel Pooly is a crowdsourcing platform that can be used to fund initiatives focused on defending DeFi and securing an Open Web3.

Friends of Pooly want artists to explore all the ways we can potentially build/design a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing games) hyperstructure. We want to create lore and a storyline around Pooly and Pals: using game assets designed by the community.

Don’t know what a hyperstructure is? Don’t worry, because it’s a brand new concept, but you can read more about it here. At the most basic level it means unstoppable Web3 protocols, which is exactly what Friends of Pooly is aiming to build: an unstoppable campaign crowdsourcing platform.
